By FFWPU East Africa: The East Africa Region held a regional leaders conference under the guidance of Regional President, Rev. Bakary Camara. The conference was held at the Barlalastone training centre in Lusaka Zambia from May 13 – 15, 2016. Around 45 national leaders, blessed family department leaders, witnessing and education department leaders, youth dpartment leaders and Heavenly Tribal Messiaship leaders from 13 nations (South Africa, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Swaziland, Mozambique, Burundi, Tanzania, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Malawi and Zambia)
The purpose of the conference was to improve the performances in the providence in every nation in our region to achieve the victory of Vision 2020 and also to bequeath the four new holy items (Holy Wine, Holy Salt, Holy Candle and Holy Earth).
At the opening ceremony, Rev. Camara stressed the importance conference which is enable to connect members to Heavenly Parent and True Parents. He further encouraged leaders to take up the responsibility of their respective nations through Heavenly Tribal Messiahship activities.
The activities included morning devotions from 05:00 am to 07:00 am with special lectures guided by Rev. Camara. Rev. Abdoulaye Wone, Regional Director of Blessed Family Department gave a lecture on the current issues related to Blessed Families in our region. Rev. Jean Augustin Ghomsi, Regional Director of Witnessing and Education gave a lecture on Heavenly Tribal Messiaship in the region and talked about a proposal Education system.
Heavenly Tribal Messiaship leaders who working now in Zambia shared their moving testimonies and successes in field. Also we also had a Q&A sessions where leaders interacted through many questions and answers.
On Sunday, May 15 (the last tday of the conference) we had a joint service which was held with more than 200 members from Zambia. During the service, four national leaders were chosen to give their testimonies and report about their activities and plans in their respective nations.
The main sermon was given by the Regional President, Rev. Camara. In this event he officially gave four holy items to national leaders or their representative.
