The Universal Peace Federation-Nepal celebrated the True Parents’ visit to Nepal. True Parents visited Nepal on November 21-23, 2005 and this year it is the 11th anniversary of that historical visit.
This is a very significance day for Nepal, because on that same day the peace process (among political parties) started after a decade of violence lead by Maoist communist in Nepal, which killed 15,000 people.
When True Parents came to our country and spoke to a big crowd of 5,000 people on November 22, 2005, exactly on the same day the political parties agreed to begin a peace process. And actually the peace process begun by our True parents.
In this event, Mr. Binod Dangi, the secretary general of UPF Nepal, was the master of the ceremonies. Rev. Santosh Kumar Paudel, president of FFWPU Nepal gave the welcome remarks. And then, Special Emissary of True Parents to Nepal Dr. Robert S. Kittel gave speech about True Parents value.
Hon. Ek Nath Dhakal, President of UPF Nepal spoke about the peace process in Nepal and UPF contribution for it.
