On January 21, 2017, a world peace blessing event was held in the Christus Triumfator church, The Hague. The audience consisted of 75 participants including 14 2nd generations. And we had T was 25 guests of which 15 couples (a few widowed) were blessed.
Hans and Mieko Campman, president of FFWPU Netherlands were the Officiators. And throughout the event our second generations fulfilled different responsibilities this.
We had an Interreligious Water Ceremony. And several religious leaders took part, such as the pastor of the Pentecostal church, the pastor of the 7th Day Adventist church, the Panduit and founder of Hindu Centre Sewa Dhaam, a Representative of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and the Women leader of the Sikh Gurdwara in The Hague. And among them, the Panduit, the PR representative of the LDS church, the Pastoral worker of the Moravian Brothers, the Pastor of the 7th Day Adventist church and the Sikh lady shared a short message.
This time, instead of exchanging the rings, the FFWPU pins were exchanged between husband and wife.
The stage was designed beautifully and together with the video presentations, the musical performances by two sisters and the fact that 9 brothers and sisters brought their contacts which were of multicultural backgrounds, the atmosphere was warm, bright, deep, light and joyful. The cake cutting was done by Panduit Tewarie and his wife together with the former political leader Mr. van Eekelen and his wife.
The whole program was led skillfully and elegant by Mrs. Lisa Janssen as the MC. The conclusion of the program was a High Tea with cake and finger food produced by 1st and 2nd generations.
