On September 8 in Washington D.C., 30 people wholeheartedly participated in an experiential education seminar on the topic of self value and self worth, healing our inner child, and transforming ourselves through unconditional love.
The Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP) Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia chapters co-hosted the Leadership of the Heart Seminar series for the second time this year at The Washington Times. Part I Session II was on Self Value and Self Worth, a follow up to Session I on Spirituality.
It was a richly packed afternoon that began with a beautiful rendition of “You Raise Me Up” sung by Ahna Stewart. Angelika Selle, President of WFWP USA gave a brief introduction to what WFWP USA is and the latest news from True Mother reminding us of WFWP’s vision and sparking inspiration and hope for the future.
Angelika then introduced the Leadership of the Heart Seminar series, a three-part series with three sessions within each series. She explained that leading with heart means a femininely- and masculinely-balanced form of leadership, which is strongly rooted in knowing the Creator’s heart. She also emphasized that the feminine style of leadership has been overlooked for the better part of history, and now is the time to highlight it and bring forth the unique, powerful leadership style of women.
Tanya Selle, Chairwoman of the WFWP Maryland Chapter, explored the topic of Self Value and Self Worth, the tools to continue to develop, and how to begin healing things that may have caused low self-worth. She emphasized that a real leader of the heart knows their true value and feels their divine worth because it is from that place of unconditional self-love and self-care that one can love and serve others to the fullest.
The program concluded with a Toast to Peace and some delicious homemade snacks. To complement the seminar, Mary Holden, a WFWP Maryland member, sold jewelry and donated 40% of the profits to the Schools of Africa project.
The next seminar will be held on Saturday, October 20th and will feature the Leadership of the Heart Seminar Part I Session III: Emotional Maturity.
